Where the containers come in
PortMiami, on Dodge Island, has container terminals with on-dock rail from the Florida East Coast Railway; Port Everglades, in Broward County, is the second container port of the same metro area. Which one a container lands at is set by the carrier service on the sailing date, and the published ranges from India are a few days longer than to the ports further north because most services call them last.

Drayage from either port is arranged through contracted motor carriers to warehouses in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, and up the Florida Turnpike and Interstate 95 to Orlando and Tampa. Containers for Jacksonville and north Florida usually do better through Jacksonville or Savannah. Airlift arranges the move as a broker; it owns no trucks or warehouses in Florida.
Airlift USA has been in business since 1999 and is an FMC-licensed NVOCC (FMC No. 016162), not a customs broker: the customs entry is filed through its licensed customs-broker network, and US trucking is arranged as a non-asset, FMCSA-licensed property broker through contracted motor carriers.
