Airline codeCIthe two-character code on flight numbers, not the AWB prefix
Find the 11-digit air waybill number on the AWB or the booking confirmation. On a consolidated shipment, ask the forwarder for the master AWB: the airline doesn't know the forwarder's house AWB number.
Check the first three digits. China Airlines Cargo numbers start with 297; any other prefix belongs to another airline's tracker.
Enter the number on China Airlines Cargo's tracker. The Track Shipments box takes the AWB number and several can be entered at once, separated by commas. No login is needed.
China Airlines is the Taiwan carrier (code CI), not an airline of mainland China. Its cargo tracking now runs on its iCargo web portal.
Booked with Airlift?
Airlift doesn't run its own airline tracking, and the Airlift container tracker covers ocean shipments only. If Airlift booked your shipment on China Airlines Cargo, your Airlift contact has the flight milestones and can tell you where it is.
